Visual Shot List

Through my second draft of my script I have not created rough ideas for the visuals. The difficultly will be the amount of shots I can afford to do before it becomes too much and re-creates the threat of being overcomplicated.
However, for now I have an estimate of around 9 shots per a chapter, which doesn't seem much but there are five chapters. The scenes themselves however can linger as it is meant to be a slowed paced 'tension builder' drama, and therefore some of the shots can be cut out. I aim to have this shot list finalised but the 29th of March.

Chapter Isolation:

1.    Establishing shot of suburban bungalow.

2.    Close up shot- rain tapping on buckets.

3.    Low angle shot- Mazikki in foreground and shadow woman in background.

4.    High angle medium shot- Mazikki in bed.

5.    Medium long shot- looking into bathroom

6.    Close up shot- Tap running.

7.    Medium high angle shot- In bathroom

8.    Over shoulder shot- Mazikki looking in mirror.

9.    Close up shot- plant on window. (lots of light exposure)

Chapter Anger:

1.    Establishing shot- of suburban Park. Mazikki and shadow woman is laying under a tree in the foreground.

2.    High angle shot- Both sitting under the tree (branches in foreground)

3.    Medium shot- under the tree talking (shot over from Mazikki)

4.    High angle shot- Shadow woman’s ‘world’ (A timeless white space with the tree the lay under)

5.    Medium shot- over from woman

6.    Medium shot- of Mazikki only

7.    Medium shot- of Woman only

8.    Close up- Mazikki

9.    Close up shots (x4) - of broken or falling objects within Mazikki’s home.  

Chapter Bargaining:

1.    Close up shot- Plant on window. done

2.    Wide shot- Mazikki’s head of shadow woman’s head. (note: action in and out of shot) done

3.    Medium shot- On Mazikki- his head on lap. (under bed close- done)

4.    Close up shot- tap running  Done

5.    Medium High angle shot- in bathroom. done

6.    Over shoulder shot- Mazikki looking in mirror. (note: seeing shadow woman’s refection too) done-ish

7.    Medim shot- two shot of profile of action. (Note: Mazikki’s eye-line). done

8.    Extreme close up shot- Mazikki’s reaction. 

Chapter depression: 

1.    Close up shot- Mazikki’s shadow passes- opens and closes door

2.    Close up shots (x4) - falling objects within Mazikki’s home.  

3.    Wide shot- Outside the bungalow (Note: zoom movement)

4.    Wide shot- Park area

5.    Wide shot: Forest area with river

6.    Wide shot: Approaching cave (Note: Pan movement)

7.    Low angle shot- Mazikki in foreground and shadow woman in background.

Chapter Acceptance:

7.    Medium shot (tracking the action) - Mazikki getting taken away by the current.
